Stella Pasta Bar & Bistro

Our name has changed but Stella remains the same!





We added “Bistro” to our name to reflect our new direction. A bistro, in its original Parisian incarnation, is a smaller restaurant serving simple, yet delicious meals and drinks in a modest setting.


It simply fits!


A bistro, in its original Parisian incarnation, is a smaller restaurant serving moderately simple, yet delicious meals and drinks in a modest setting.

And, our incredible chefs (John and Casey) are working to add new menu items in the near future for Stella Pasta Bar & Bistro!


We have taken “bakery” out of our name to reflect changes in the last year. Although we are still in the bakery each morning, you may have noticed we no longer sell baked items through Fo’Castle Country Store.


When we first opened in June of 2016, we partnered with an extraordinary baker who sadly passed away two years later, “Bill the Baker!” We could write a blog, and more, honoring the excellence of Bill’s work in addition to his sense of humor, his endless, fascinating stories since graduating the Culinary Institute of America and, most of all, his big heart!


Our goal at the time was for the Bakery to be a second business in conjunction with the restaurant.

While drafting our new business plan, we decided to focus on Stella Pasta Bar, still incorporating our signature baked goods.


Here is a snapshot of Bill’s original recipes that we still make each day!

· Bill’s famous fresh Italian Bread

· Focaccia

· Quiche shells

· Flatbreads

· Baguettes

· Apple turnovers

· Chocolate flourless cake

· Cheesecake

· Cookies ~ Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin

· Crème Brulee

· And of course, our Pasta!


We’d like to thank Chef Tito for taking over the Stella Bakery (as well as taking on the role of Sous Chef!) Tito studied under Bill and continues to flawlessly create our baked items. In addition, you can find him on the line in our kitchen every day. He wears a few hats, but always with a smile and dedication to excellence. We have recently welcomed Alina Abbott, a baker with a stellar background, who is training with Chef Tito so that he can move into his Sous Chef role full time. Alina may have a few surprises up her sleeve to add to our dessert menu.


Thanks to each of you for supporting Stella since we opened our doors. We couldn’t do this without so many amazing customers who walk through our doors every day.
